Executive Engineer (Electronics) - PORT QASIM AUTHORITY

Job Description

Port Qasim Authority is seeking a qualified and skilled individual to join our team as an Executive Engineer (Electronics). The Executive Engineer will be responsible for overseeing electronic systems, equipment, and technologies within the port, ensuring their efficient operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain electronic systems and equipment within the port, including communication systems, navigation aids, surveillance cameras, security systems, and automation technologies.
2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electronic equipment and systems, scheduling regular inspections, calibrations, and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
3. Coordinate with internal departments, external vendors, and contractors to procure electronic equipment, components, and spare parts, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.
4. Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and risk analyses for proposed electronic projects and upgrades, providing recommendations and cost estimates to senior management.
5. Design, install, and commission electronic systems and upgrades, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
6. Troubleshoot and diagnose electronic malfunctions and failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to restore functionality and prevent recurrence.
7. Monitor and analyze performance data, alarms, and diagnostics from electronic systems, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization and improvement.
8. Develop and maintain documentation, manuals, and procedures for electronic systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with maintenance protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
9. Provide technical support and training to port personnel on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic systems and equipment.
10. Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electronics engineering, participating in training and professional development activities as needed.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or specialized certifications are preferred.
2. Proven experience in electronics engineering roles, with a minimum of X years of experience in design, installation, and maintenance of electronic systems and equipment.
3. Strong knowledge of electronic principles, circuit design, digital and analog electronics, microprocessors, and control systems.
4. Proficiency in electronic design software, simulation tools, and diagnostic instruments.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electronic issues and implement effective solutions.
